As the new school year kicks off and the excitement of football season returns, Madill High School celebrates Emma Roberts. A proud member of the Madill community for 14 years, Roberts is currently a dedicated 12th grader at Madill Public Schools.
Roberts is the daughter of Tara and Brad Roberts and has a loving extended family, including grandparents, Judy and Steve Lawrence and Faye and Carol Roberts. Her high school journey has been vibrant and fulfilling, marked by her active involvement in Varsity Cheer, Student Council and the National Honor Society.
Looking ahead, Roberts said she plans to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her ambition extends beyond her undergraduate degree as she aims to become a nurse practitioner, specializing in aesthetic injecting.
Roberts said one of her favorite memories from school is cheering at her first high school football game against Kingston during her freshman year—a moment that ignited her passion for cheerleading and teamwork. As the football season begins, she said she looks forward to creating more unforgettable memories with her cheer squad.
Roberts expressed deep gratitude towards her coaches, thanking them for constant support.
“Thank you for always pushing me, because you all knew I could always push beyond the limit,” she said.
She said she also appreciates Mrs. Burnett and Amanda for their support over the years and Courtney and Kaylee for their encouragement during her final cheerleading season.
Her heartfelt thanks also extend to her parents.
“Thank you for all that you have done for me in the past 17 years,” she said. “For always getting me whatever I may need, never missing anything I am involved in, and just loving and being there for me in general.”
Roberts said she draws inspiration from her mother, whom she admires for her strength and independence.
“She has inspired me to become like her and to not rely on anyone for anything,” Emma shared.
In cheer, her best friends Himani, Zeplyn and Zoey have been her unwavering support system, making her senioryearevenmorespecial.
As the football season unfolds andRobertsembarkson her final year of high school, she leaves a lasting legacy of dedication, leadership, and friendship at Madill Public Schools.
