Richard Dean Taylor , 74, was born on July 14, 1946. As a young boy he had rheumatic fever and was told he would not live to be forty. So, on his fortieth birthday he celebrated and has ever since.

Richard married his bride, Linda, on September 2, 1967. They had three daughters, Theresa Price, Jodie Taylor, and Tanya Cantrell, and settled in Kingston. During his life, he loved to work on cars, but only ifthey were fast and said “Dodge.” He was also known to catch HUGE catfish, but if you asked him where his fishing hole was, you wouldn’t get an answer.

Being a man of God, Richard led the at was a pretty much his whole life. Richard was also a skilled carpenter, a keen business owner, an industrious entrepreneur, an ingenious inventor, and an avid guitar player. He recorded several songs throughout his life. Richard never met a stranger. If you came by the house, chances were there was a pot of coffee on and a bunch of laughs to be had. Richard was a man that will be missed tremendously. We celebrate his life on Earth and his new life in Heaven. He finally made it back home.

He is survived by his wife Linda Nell Taylor of Kingston, Okla., his daughters; Theresa Price and husband Shawn of Kingston, Okla, Tanya Cantrell and husband Josh of Kingston, Okla, and Jodie Taylor of Kingston, Okla., honorary daughter Trina Williams, grandchildren; Olivia Mikiel White, Cadance Christin Williams, Candace Kay Williams, Jarron Cantrell, Marshall Cantrell, honorary Ggandchildren; Dalton and Elizabeth Williams, Taylor Grace Williams, Chance Williams, Jakey Williams, and brother Winston Taylor and wife Janie of Willis, Okla.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; Clarence(T-Bone) Taylor, Vera Irene (Johnson) Taylor, four brothers; Jerry, Tommy J., Robert L., and Royce Taylor; and two sisters; Sally Sue Harrington and Vickie L. Barnes

A celebration of life will be held Saturday February 6, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Kingston Church of Christ. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
