John Francis Keenan, 83, passed away on August 12, 2026. He was born on September 20, 1942.
John was truly one of a kind and one of the most straightforward, tell-it-like-it-is men you could ever know. He always kept us laughing and never had a shortage of stories about all the places he lived and the adventures he had along the way.
We’re pretty sure Jack Daniel’s in Lynchburg, Tenn., is going to feel this loss too—he was one of their very best customers! Who could forget the guy who eventually learned to drink his Jack with “just a little ice,” because heaven forbid it get watered down!
He will be missed more than he could ever know. John, we hope you’re up there swapping stories, having a good drink and howling at the moon. However, most importantly, we hope you’re enjoying being reunited with the love of your life, Sandra.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra. His is survived by his children, Shea, Sean, Shannon, Steven and Janna, as well as his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
