James (Dickie) Richard Branam, 64, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 29, 2026. He was born on September 21, 1961, to Charles and Janis (Wheeler) Branam. His life was a testament to the power of a loving heart and a determined spirit.
Dickie is remembered as a man who, despite life’s challenges, approached each day with strength and determination. His short journey was marked by his incredible independence and resilience. He continuously refused to allow challenges to become barriers.
Dickie had a passion for motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. Everyone enjoyed his stories along with his whole-hearted laugh that could light up the room. He created a world of adventure, not just for himself, but for all who were lucky enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Janis Faye Branam; and grandparents.
He is survived by his dad, Charles; brother, Charlie; sisters, Jeweli (Terry) Wickham, Becky (Ramiro) Garcia, Shelly (Ernesto) Curiel, Laura (Hector) Olivarez, Misty Branam, Christy (Mark) Rickman, Carla Guadin; aunts, JoBranam,Beverly(Jerry)Coxandmanynieces,nephews and cousins who loved him.
Services were held Monday, September 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Woodberry Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
