Many schools in the Texoma area have been the victim to school threats, prompting more security. On September 13, Madill High School received a threat. It later was found to be baseless, but the officials had it on a soft lockdown.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office received a phone call about a possible threat at Kingston Elementary. Upon further investigation, it was found that there were no threats made toward the school. It was a student who made threats toward other students away from school campus.
