It appears that Madill schools are getting some muchneeded improvements. When accessing Madill school properties, it can sometimes be tricky trying to find a parking spot.
The Madill School Board came together on Feb 1, 2021 in a special meeting to discuss the possible approval on a real estate agreement. The property could be very important to Madill Schools. It was a unanimous vote to approve the purchase of the property.
Madill Public School Superintendent Larry Case said the property is adjacent to the event center. The event center took up a lot of parking. More than likely, it will be cleared out and used for more parking.
Madill schools recently purchased another piece of land across from the school. It has been cleared to be a parking lot as well.
Case said the new property will be beneficial in easing parking and other situations.
“Because you can see that you can get landlocked,” Case said. “It will really benefit our school.”
