The Texoma Volunteer Fire District is very thankful for the grant that allowed them to purchase the new fully equipped side by side. It will be so helpful in rescues around the lake on the trails and in tight spots were the larger equipment doesn't fit.
We still are asking for donations of bottled water and Gatorade for our firefighters. It's hot outside and fluids are needed when battling these summer fires. Please contact Shellie Blakely at 972-7460092 if you wish to donate.
The Ladies of the Auxiliary are selling raffle tickets for a guided fishing trip for four or a two-night stay in deluxe cabins for a party of four. The drawing will be September 7, 2026 during the Mexican Pile On.
Ladies, the next Auxiliary meeting will be Monday July 20 at 1:30 p.m. with fellowship at 1 p.m. prior to the meeting.
The exercise/stretching classes are every Monday andWednesday at10:00a.m. Card games are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 12:00 p.m.
For anyone needing to rent the Texoma Community Center building for a party or family gathering place contact Judy Jeffreys at 405-684-1636. Calls are monitored twice a week so please allow plenty of time for your event.
The cost is $75 per day and can only be rented by members of the Fire District. The building capacity is 158.
