BENEFITS
Retired Chief John Canoe has been diagnosed with nonsmall cell lung cancer and will have to have radiation treatment five days a week for six to seven weeks, along with a low dose of chemo treatment one day a week.
There will be a benefit to assist in offsetting the medical bills he has and will continue to accrue during the course of his treatment.
Canoe has been a integral part of the Kingston community, and his family – personal and law enforcement – would love to see the community return the favor.
The fundraiser will be Tuesday, August 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Kingston Senior Citizen building at 14 South Main Street.
A minimum donation of $10 will cover a BBQ sandwich, a bag of chips, and a cold drink. The BBQ will be provided by Jack Attack BBQ.
