Robledo's journey at Madill began in the ninth grade, and he fondly recalled his favorite memory from freshman year: the excitement of meeting new friends and forming lasting connections. One standout moment from his football experience was the tradition of painting the trestle, an event that symbolizes team spirit and tradition.
With aspirations of continuing his athletic career in college,Robledosaidhehopes to pursue pole vaulting—a sport that has captured his heart and ambition. He acknowledged the critical role that his coaches have played in his development, particularly Coach Patt, who has been a significant source of motivation and guidance.
'Coach Patt has pushed me in the weight room and believed in me,' Robledo shared. 'His discipline to get up every day and keep grinding is inspiring to say the least.'
Robledo also extended his gratitude to Coach Heavner for the constant encouragement and support throughout his high school athletic endeavors, and Coach Robinson, who introduced him to the importance of faith by inviting him to church and encouraging him to follow God in all aspects of his life.
Family support has been another cornerstone of his success. He expressed heartfelt appreciation for his parents, Andle and Christopher Temple, who have always encouraged him to participate in multiple sports and supported his decisions, no matter the challenges. He also acknowledged the love andguidanceofhisgrandparents, Charlotte and James Mapp, and his sister, Isabella Temple, who have been an integral part of his journey.
As he looks toward the future, Robledo has valuable advice for his peers and younger students.
'Don’t wait until your senior year or your junior year to put in all of your effort; it will pay off,” he said. “Keep focused on your goals and workashardasyoucanevery single day. Once you achieve your goal, don’t stop—strive for more.'.
