Solid finishes highlighted a busy track and field week for Madill High School as the Wildcats competed in both the Durant Invitational as well as the Pauls Valley Meet two days later.
The Lady Wildcats were fourth as a team at Durant and then placed seventh in the team standings at Pauls Valley. The Wildcats were strong as well taking fifth at Durant and fourth at Pauls Valley.

Girls
Senior Yadira Barbosa claimed runner-up honors in both the 1,600 (5:35.63) and 3,200 (12:55.49) meters at Durant and was joined by several other second place performances.
HannahPruittwassecond in the 100 hurdles (18.61), Isabell Stuckey checked in second in the 300 hurdles (49.45) and Hadon Stuckey claimed second in the pole vault (9 feet even). The 800 relay unit composed of Isabell Stuckey, Joshlynn Clayburn, Tillie Chapa and Hadon Stuckey was also runner-up in 1:48.19.
Madill also picked up points from Uriana Rivera (third) and Jeylah Cabrales (fifth) in the 300 hurdles, Clayburn took fourth in the 100 meters and sixth in the 200 meters, Lexington Willis notched a fifth in the 800 with Brylee Smith sixth in the 100 hurdles. In the field, Anglena Mendiola added a fifth in the shot put with Madelyn Ritchie fifth in the discus.
The Lady Wildcat sprint relay unit of Isabell Stuckey, Clayburn, Chapa and Hadon Stuckeyendedthirdwhilethe grouping of Willis, Chapa, Rivera and Kali Henry notched a fifth in the 1600 relay.
CompetingatPaulsValley, Barbosa again led the charge in winning the 3,200 meters in 12:36.53 as well as taking third in the 1,600 meters at 5:41.89. Isabell Stuckey captured the 300 hurdles title inatimeof49.42secondswith Hadon Stuckey winning the pole vault at nine feet even.
Willis pitched in a fifth in the 800 meters with the combination of Isabell Stuckey, Clayburn, Chapa and Hadon Stuckey ending fifth in the 800 relay.
Boys
Madill’s stellar 1600 relay unit of Aroddy Camacho, Justin Smith, Jaxon Diaz and Ryder Douglas was the top placer at Durant with a second in 3:27.17 but that same group won the Pauls Valley title in the same event by clocking in 3:27.11.
JaydenBarbosatookhome the 3,200-meter crown at Pauls Valley with a time of 10:57.02 although he clocked in with a better 10:43.40 at Durant but took fourth. Douglaschippedinafourthin the 800 meters at Durant but improved that with a third at Pauls Valley. Alex Gonzalez tossed in a sixth in the 1600 meters at Durant but ended fourth in Pauls Valley and was sixth in the 800 meters in Durant.
Barbosa finished fifth in the 1600 meters at Pauls Valley while Justin Smith checked in sixth in the 200 meters in the Durant meet.
Madill’s800relaygrouping of Camacho, Dayden Ramos, Diaz and Smith was third at Durant and fifth in Pauls Valley while the 3200 relay unit of Douglas, Blane Hawthorne, Barbosa and Gonzalez ended fourth at Durant and third at Pauls Valley. The Wildcat sprint relay foursome of Camacho, Diaz, Ramos and Smith also posted a third place finish in the Durant meet.
