Marshall County 4-H shooting team wins awards

The Marshall County 4-H Shooting Sports team competed at the Southeast District 4-H Skeet and Trap Shoot May 17-18.  

In the Skeet competition, the intermediate team of Lauren Campbell, Drew Anderson and Dakota Sliger placed 2nd, and the senior team of Eric Shrum, Cristian Morales and Jared Davis placed 1st.  

Lauren Campbell placed 3rd individually in the junior division, Dakota Sliger placed 1st and Drew Anderson placed 10th individually in the intermediate division, while Cristian Morales placed 1st, Jared Davis placed 5th and Eric Shrum placed 9th individually in the senior division.  

In the Trap competition, the intermediate team of Dakota Sliger, Drew Anderson and Lauren Campbell placed third.  Individually, Lauren Campbell placed 1st in the junior division, and Dakota Sliger placed 1st in the intermediate division.   

 Human growth and development is the primary goal of the 4-H shooting sports program. Shooting sports are an outstanding way to provide human growth and development opportunities. Introducing safe and responsible use of firearms and archery equipment opens valuable vocational and life long recreational education.
