Madill rolled to team championships in both the girls and boys division at the Tishomingo Invitational Track Meet last week with a bevy of individual medalists.
The Lady Wildcats outdistanced Silo with a 127-123 scoring edge in their division while the Wildcats cruised with a 132-111 scoring advantage over their closest competitor Wynnewood.
Senior Yadira Barbosa claimed individual gold in both the 1,600 and 3,200 meters to lead the Lady Wildcat charge to the title while fellow senior Ryder Douglas took championships in the 400 and 800 meters in fueling the Wildcat charge.
Barbosa posted a time of 5:50.52 in the 1,600 and added a mark of 12:23.24 in the 3,200 with teammate Katelyn Acquaviva checking in sixth at 14:40.18. Barbosa also notched a third-place time of 2:36.81 in the 800 meters just ahead of Lexington Willis, who was fourth in 2:36.82.
Joshlynn Clayburn placed second in the 100 meters in 13.55 while Isabell Stuckey added a third in the 300 hurdles at 50.27 seconds as well as sixth in the 100 hurdles in 18.43. Hadon Stuckey notched a second-place mark of 27.25 seconds in the 200 as Clayburn ended sixth with a time of 28.27 seconds.
The Lady Wildcats had a trio of runners score points in the 400 meters topped by a runner-up effort from Tillie Chapa at 1:04.52. Clayburn clocked in fourth in 1:08.72 and Uriana Rivera added a fifth at 1:09.92.
Hadon Stuckey also cleared 8 feet, 6 inches to place second in the pole vault while Madelyn Ritchie was sixth in both the shot put (28 feet, 5 inches) and discus (81 feet, 5 inches).
Madill’s sprint relay unit of Chapa, Clayburn, Hadon and Isabell Stuckey blasted their way to a first place time of 51.44 seconds. Kali Henry and Jeylah Cabrales teamed with the Stuckeys to claim second in the 800 relay at 1:52.44 and the grouping of Rivera, Kaydence Garcia, Chapa and Henry was third in the 1600 relay in a time of 4:39.32.
Douglas clocked in at 52.63 seconds while capturing the 400 meters crown and crossed the stripe in 2:02.58 for the 800 meter title.
Jayden Barbosa was runner-up in the 3,200 meters in 10:43.71 as well as placing second in the 1,600 at 5:02.63 where teammate Alex Gonzalez was third with a time of 5:03.01.
Madill also picked a second place finish from Aroddy Camachowithan11.68clocking in the 100 meters, Moises Bautista was fifth in the 300 hurdles in 52.69 while Justin Smith pitched in a third place mark of 23.39 seconds in the 200 meters with fellow WildcatAndrewRamonplacing sixth in 24.16. Edward Wagoner also chipped in a sixth place leap of eight feet even in the pole vault.
The Wildcats dominated three relay events to win the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 events as well as taking third in the sprint relay.
In the 800 relay the quartet of Camacho, Jaxon Diaz, DaydenSotoandSmithrolled to a winning time of 1:33.08 with the same four grabbing a third place finish in the sprint relay in 45.31 seconds.
Camacho,Smith,Diazand Douglas crossed the stripe in a golden time of 3:31.49 in the 1,600 relay and it was Douglas teaming with Jayden Barbosa, Blane Hawthorne and Gonzalez to capture the top spot in the 3,200 relay at 8:48.58.
