Lady Wildcats juggle between wins and losses

On Monday, August 14, the Lady Wildcats faced Lady Pirates. Madill fought hard against their opponents from Byng High School.

MadillpitcherDahliaMarris caught the first out. She continued this hot streak by striking out the next batter. The Lady Wildcats followed up with a great catch from Luciana Douglass thrown to Laila Pickens at first for their third out of the inning.

Marris was first at bat hitting a massive double and stealing third. Next up to bat was Ireland Groeber, getting a hit making it to first base. She then went on to steal second and third base.

Byng started the second inning with a double, and the player would go on to steal third and home plate. Byng scored additional runs that inning, creating quite a lead. Marris scored a run, but that momentum was shut down by a double play at first and second from Byng.

Bottom of the fourth inning with two outs, Zeplyn Thomas caught a huge hit to left field bringing the inning to an end. With bases loaded in the 7th inning, Allyson Knight stepped up to bat. She got a good hit, but it went straight to Byng’s pitcher. With a quick throw to first, Knight is out, and the game is over. The Lady Wildcats surrendered defeat to Byng with a final score of 8 to 4.

The Lady Wildcats attended the Tishomingo Tournament onAugust19andhad one win and one loss. They beat Ardmore 7 to 6, but lost to Antlers 6 to 3.
