Kingston girls 2nd at Little Axe powerlifting meet

Kingston girls placed second and the boys finished sixth in the recent Little Axe Powerlifting Invitational.

The Lady Redskins tallied 118 points, ending only behind first place Sulphur in theteamstandings.Kingston boys totaled 58 team points.

JuniorCobyDaviswasthe catalyst in the girls’ division in capturing the 132-pound division with a three-lift total of 670 pounds (250 squat, 130 bench,290deadlift).Rae-Ann Bestalsonotchedteampoints with a fifth place showing of 570 pounds (235 squat, 100 bench, 235 deadlift).

Carli Lilley added runnerup honors at 155 pounds as she had a combined tally of 680 (260 squat, 145 bench, 275 deadlift).

Daisey Avery took third in the 113-pound division with 475 total (170 squat, 105 bench, 200 deadlift) and Ava Reno was fourth with 440 pounds (185 squat, 75 bench, 180 deadlift). In the 123-pound category, Kate Ratzlaff placed third with 605 pounds (235 squat, 130 bench, 240 deadlift) while Bailey Reagan added a fifthplace effort of 580 pounds (200 squat, 105 bench, 275 deadlift).

The Kingston boys had four individual placers in the 157-pound division spurred by a fourth from Vinny Robbins at 885 pounds (315 squat, 225 bench, 345 deadlift). J.L. Smith was just behind in sixth with an 875-pound tally while Jesse Thomas ended eighth at 825 and Joe Elmore took 10th with 805.

A pair of Redskins placed at 145 pounds as Wyatt Lewis finished fifth with a three-lift mark of 765 pounds (265 squat, 185 bench, 315 deadlift) and Reese Putman racked up 730 pounds to finish eighth.

There were a host of seventh place performers for theRedskinswithKellyGray at 168, James Troute at 181, Ty Jones at 198 and Landon Burgess at heavyweight. Grayposted950totalpounds, Trout contributed 1,005 pounds in lifts, Jones chipped in 980 total pounds and Burgess had 1,185 pounds.

Luis Sanchez rounded out the Kingston point total with a ninth place mark in the 123-pound division by contributing 450 pounds combined.
