As the countdown to graduation begins, Madill High School proudly highlights Brooklyn Pruitt, a dedicated senior whose journey has been marked by hard work, passion and a spirit of camaraderie. Pruitt is not just a student; she is an athlete, a leader and a beloved friend to many.
She is the daughter of Darren and Danielle Pruitt and has a close-knit family that includes her grandparents, Charlie and Sandy Pruitt, Eric and LaRhonda Loftis and Eugene Nabors. She shares her life with her siblings: Brody, Josh, Mikal Pruitt and Sofia Washington. This strong family foundation has played a crucial role in shaping her character and ambitions.
Pruitthasspentfourmemorable years at Madill High School, where she has made her mark as a standout athlete. Her involvement in softball, powerlifting, archery, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and the National Honor Society (NHS) showcases her commitment to both academics and athletics. Pruitt reflected on her high school experiences and said making friends was the highlight.
“Myfavoritememoryfrom school is getting to make so many new friends, including two of my best friends,” Pruitt said.
Pruitt said her heart lies with her softball team, which she describes as her second family.
“Even when we didn’t play our best, we were always there for each other and picked each other up,” she said. “I love all the girls like sisters.”
She said the bonds formed on the field are invaluable to her, creating a sense of belongingandsupport.Pruitt expressed her gratitude to her coaches, particularly Coach Hayes and Coach Runyan, for their unwavering guidance and belief in her, especially during times of self-doubt.
“They were not only good coaches but also good people, and I’m happy to have had them as my coaches,” she noted.
Looking ahead, Pruitt said she plans to pursue a degreeinnursingwithafocus on pediatrics. She hopes to continue her softball career in college, combining her passion for the sport with her desire to care for others.
Pruitt acknowledged the immense support she has received from her parents.
“I could have never done any of this without you,” she said. “Your continuous support means more to me than you will ever know. You guys are my greatest blessings in life.”
She extended a special thank you to her dad, who has not only been her biggest supporter but also her inspiration in sports.
She said her dad had a huge impact on her.
“My dad is a hardworking man, very caring, smart and strong. He is also the funniest guy I know,” Brooklyn shared. “He pushes me to be better in everything I do, including my relationship with God, and I am very thankful for his help.”
