The Madill High School wrestling team claimed third in the rugged Class 4A District Duals last week while the Wildcat junior grapplers notched several strong finishes in the Comanche Tournament with the girls taking the team title and boys finishing third.
In the District Dual event at McLoud, the Wildcats posted a 51-30 triumph over rival Plainview as well as downing McLoud, 52-29. They dropped dual decisions to powerful Sulphur (60-24) and Bristow (78-3).
On tap next for the Wildcats will be the Annual Midwestern Conference Tournament slated Friday and Saturday at East Central University in Ada..
Against McLoud, the Wildcats got off to a fast start and never looked back in racing to a 22-0 lead.
