Bose Thomas Norris, 84, passed away on April 4, 2025. Bose,lovinglyknownasTommytomostandPatohisgrandchildren and great-grandchildren leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
TommywasborninGainesville,Texas, to his late parents, William and Hattie Finney Norris. He attended Gainesville High School before embarking on a successful careerintheconstructionindustry.
His work with Austin Paving took him to the Texas coast, and he eventually settled in Mesquite, Texas, where he capped off his distinguished career with Dallas County. There, he and his beloved wife, Kittie Lipsey Norris, built a beautiful life centered around love, family, and adventure. Together, they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage.
An avid outdoorsman, Tommy found joy in hunting, fishing, and living his dream on his property in Oklahoma. There, he loved cooking and entertaining family and friends, creating lasting memories with every gathering. Known for his warm hospitality, witty storytelling and passion for the simple pleasures in life, Tommy had a unique ability to bring people together. His quick wit and playful sense of humor filled every room, leaving everyone in stitches and making him unforgettable to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Randy and Scott Norris.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kittie Lipsey Norris of Kingston, Okla.; son, Denny Norris of Kingston, Okla.; daughter, Terri Norris-Timpe and husband Steve of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren, Chad Norris and wife Karra of Anna, Texas, Chelsie Baker and husband Chad of Magnolia, Texas, Stephanie Norris and husband Brant of Van Alstyne, Texas, Hunter Norris and wife Candace of Wylie, Texas, Tommy Norris of Kingston, Okla.; Tony Norris of Kingston, Okla.; great-grandchildren, Lane Baker, Lawson Baker, Luke Norris, Levi Norris, and Lee Norris. They will carry on his cherished legacy.
A service to honor and celebrate Tommy’s life was held on April 8, 2025, at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) Foundation.
