Marshall County schools participated in the 46th Annual Invitational Scholastic Contest at Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on March 7, 2023. Murray has many opportunities for high schoolers to get a taste of college, such as their Annual Youth Preparedness Camp for grades 9-12, their reduced rate concurrent classes, Rising Star scholarships, President Scholarship Association, among others. Seniorswhoplacefirstoverall in their division are eligible for scholarships to be used at Murray.
The Madill 2023 senior class Valedictorian Sahith Gondi placed 1st in his division and overall, for the Physics exam. Honor graduate D’Mari Austin tested 1st in his division for vocabulary. Wyatt Evans received 1st place in his division and 2nd overallforOklahomaWildlife Identification. Chemistry competitor Yailin Serrano placed 2nd in Division and 4th overall. Satvik Gondi placed 2nd in Division for Current Events. Ashlyn Stoehr placed 2nd in Division for Spreadsheet Applications. Emmaleigh Whitaker tested 3rd in her Division for American Government and Powerpoint Presentation. Former middle school library aide Ruthanna Wiese placed 3rd in her division for library skills.
