The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in an attempted kidnapping. Between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. on August 4, the MCSO received a call from the Durwood Road area of the county.
The reporting party said that a 14-year-old female was walking down Durwood Road near Nelda Cemetery. While she was walking, a male in a black SUV stopped and attempted to get the juvenile into the vehicle.
The suspect was unsuccessful, but MCSO is actively searching for the male. The only description the MCSO has at the moment is it was a Hispanic male driving a black SUV.
The MCSO arrived on scene shortly after call, and reached out to surrounding county law enforcement. All counties are on the lookout for the vehicle.
