Madill Track teams compete at State Track Meet

  • The Madill Boys Track Team competed in the State Track Meet on May 6 and 7, 2022. Freshman Eli Vinson placed 3rd in the Pole Vault event and junior River Shaw placed 6th in the Shot Put event. Summer Bryant • The Madill Record

  • The Madill Girls Track Team also competed in the State Track Meet. They placed 7th in the 4x200m relay, and Kaytleigh Davis took 3rd in the 200m dash. Summer Bryant • The Madill Record

    The Madill High School Wildcats and Lady Wildcats went to the 4A State Track Meet in Catoosa, Okla. on May 6 and 7, 2022. Both teams were able to bring medals home, even though they did not win State.

    The Wildcats had two individuals who brought home medals. Freshman Eli Vinson placed third in the Pole Vault reaching 12 feet 6 inches. Junior River Shaw threw the shotput 47 feet 8.5 inches to make a sixth-place finish. The Wildcats finished with nine total points.

    The Lady Wildcats ran their way to a seventh-place finish in the 4 by 200m relay with a time of 1 minute and 48 seconds. Freshman Kaytleigh Davis was able to win a third-place medal after running the 200m dash. She finished with a time of 25.41 seconds. The Lady Wildcats finished with 10 total points
