Mead man arrested for solicitation

Bradley Dean was arrested on June 23 after Predator Poachers allege he tried to solicit a minor online. The predator exposure group stated it posed as a teenage girl and began chatting with Dean.

Afterarrangingameet-up, they alerted law enforcement. The group alleges that Dean, a 39-year-old from Mead, told the “minor” that he “wanted to take her virginity.” They also said during the chat, Dean admitted to viewing sexually explicit videos of children as young as five years old.

Alex Rosen, Predator Poacher’s founder, said Dean’s tune changed when they knocked on his door to confront him.

“He answered the door and he immediately started blabbering about how ‘I actually met her and her mom at Walmart. I was just trying to get her mom a job’, but we’re obviously on the other end of this and we know he obviously never met this girl in person,” said Rosen.

Dean is facing charges for Solicitation of a Minor by Use of Technology.

BryanCountySheriffJoey Tucker said he was proud of Predator Poachers and appreciates their diligence in keeping children safe.

“I am proud of the work being done by the team at Predator Poachers in their efforts to protect our children and support law enforcement agencies across the country,” Tucker told KXII in an interview. “By identifying individuals who seek to exploit and victimize minors online, they are helping bring critical information to the attention of authorities and increasing awareness of the dangers that exist on the internet. Protecting our youth is a responsibility we all share, and partnerships between vigilant citizens and law enforcement can play an important role in keeping our communities safe. Those who prey upon children should be held accountable, and together we can continue working to ensure that predators are identified, investigated, and brought to justice.”
