Taking seventh in both girls and boys team standings, the Madill High School track and field teams competed in the always tough Marietta Invitational last week.
Each group had one individual meet champion as Isabell Stuckey led the girls’ squad with a first place time of 49.43 seconds in the 300 hurdles while Ryder Douglas had a winning time of 2:00.60 in the 800 meters for the boys.
Stuckey contributed a fifth place mark of 18.27 in the 100 hurdles with Hadon Stuckey adding a third place time of 26.95 and Joshlynn Clayburn clocking in at 13.58 seconds for fourth in the 100 meters. Hadon Stuckey was also fourth in the pole vault with a leap of 8 feet, 6 inches.
Yadira Barbosa claimed a handful of medals with the best being a third in the 3,200 meters at 12:43.44. She was also fourth in the 800 meters in 2:40.98 and fifth in the 1,600 meters clocking in at 5:50.07.
The Lady Wildcats had a pair of placing relay squads, including in the sprint relay where the unit of Tillie Chapa,Clayburn,Isabelland Hadon Stuckey took silver medal honors with a time of 51.69. That same foursome was fifth in the 800 relay by posting a time of 1:50.70.
For the Wildcat boys, Douglas added a third place time of 52.45 in the 400 meters as Justin Smith chipped in a sixth place mark of 23.69 seconds in the 200.
Madill checked in fourth in three of the relay events including a time of 1:36.83 in the 800 relay with the grouping of Justin Smith, Andrew Ramon, Jaxon Diaz and Brayden Valles. In the 1,600 relay it was Smith, Ramon, Diaz and Douglas clocking in with a 3:38.88.
The 3,200 relay combination of Douglas, Blane Hawthorne, Jayden Barbosa and Jose Campos crossed the line in 8:41.97.
