Madill drops wrestling Homecoming dual

The Madill Wildcats ran into a buzz saw with a 60-18 wrestling Homecoming dual setback to Class 5A ninthranked McAlester last week.

A12-6Madillleadthrough three matches slipped away quickly against the powerful Buffaloes. Patrick Speers earned a forfeit at 106 pounds and Darian Perez scored a pin fall victory over Hudson Vaughn at 120 pounds for the early advantage.

The Wildcats’ other match triumph came at 150 pounds where Aroddy Camacho notched a fall decision in the second period over Silas McCraw.

Madillpickedupdualwins in both junior high divisions as the Wildcats were 48-25 victors with the girls winning 30-6 over the visiting Buffaloes.

Girls pin fall winners for the Lady Wildcats were Samantha Ortiz, Hannah Pruitt, Brissa Reyes, Valaria BarrientosandJohanna Gonzalez.

On the boys side, Adrian Colescott, Teo Barrientos, Layne Dorer, Damien Trejo, Steven Moreno, Jacob Valles, Rodrigo Cruces and Dago Gonzalez recorded pin fall triumphs.
