Sand Bass Festival is a huge smash

The National Sand Bass Festival is something that comes around every year during the first week of June. Even though there was a power outage toward the end of the festival, it didn’t dampen the event.

As usual, the event had multiple musical acts scheduled for guests to enjoy. To start off the festival on Monday night, they held the talent contest.

The talent contest has three age divisions for competitors. Curtis Mucrief took 1st place in the adult division with Christina Gabrielle taking 2nd and Diamond Armstrong taking 3rd.

The next division was the teen category. Holden McGahey took1stplace,CodyShaw won 2nd and Vincent Brown and Jeff Hampton took 3rd.

Another division was the junior category. Hadon Stuckey won 1st place, Lydia Goodin placed 2nd and Bella Thomas took 3rd.

From Tuesday to Saturday, the Woody Ford stage had various musical artists. TheRealMcNiel,TheSTARS Band, One Nation Band, the Kingston First Baptist Praise Team, Ben Fuller, the TJ ToddBand,NoahThompson, Zain Braden Band, Body Hibbard, C7 Band, and The Frontmen all took the stage at different times throughout the week.

Many guests said they loved the bands that performed. Some took to Facebook to gush over the musicians.

One guest said they really enjoyed The Frontmen, and loved the trio before they joined forces.

They said they loved the singers when they were with their original bands; Little Texas, Lonestar and Restless Heart.

Other guests posted on Facebook about how great the acts were.

“Best concert I've been to in a very long time,” one posted.

“They are amazing,” another posted. One even commented about one of the songs.

“I walked down the aisle at my wedding to this song.”
