Out with a bang. The remaining cement pylons of the Old Willis Bridge on Highway 377 were demolished on Saturday morning. Smallcrowds of people gathered to watch in excitement as an end to an era came to a close.
The project to replace the outdated bridge, that was first built in 1960, began in 2019 and experienced multiple delays before being finished in February 2023.
