Meet the official: Cissell, runs a family business

The Cissell Family have been in the Marshall County area for more than 30 years. Todd Cissell runs the family construction business 4C Construction alongside his dad David and his son Tracy. Cissell moved to Kingston in 1996 to be closer to his family. Not long after that, he began his career as a volunteer firefighter at the Caney-Soldier Creek Fire Department.

Cissell is now the Chief of the Texoma Volunteer Fire DepartmentintheWoodville/ Alberta Creek Area of Lake Texoma. The Madill Record was able to interview Chief Cissell for a quick Q&A for the residents of Marshall County to get to know him.

Q: Please tell the readers about yourself. Are you from Marshall County?

A: “I was born in Denison, Texas and grew up in Irving, Texas. I moved to the Kingston, Soldier Creek, area in 1996 to be closer to my family.”

Q: Tell our readers about yourfamily.Areyoumarried, children, grandkids?

A: “I'm married to Brandie Cissell and I have three children.MysonTracy33,my daughter-in-law Chandra, daughter Bailey 23, and son Beau 17. I have three granddaughters Nevaeh, Caydence, & Zayli.”

Q: You are a volunteer at the Texoma fire department, as chief, how long have you been a volunteer?

A: “27 years. I started with Caney-Soldier Creek Fire Department in 1997 and then bought a house in the Texoma Fire District in 1998 and joined the Texoma Fire Department at the same time.”

Q: Other than being a volunteer firefighter, what is your 'day job'?

A: “I have a construction company, 4C Construction, thatIrunwithmydad,David Cissell and my son, Tracy.”

Q: What are your hobbies, do you have any passion projects?

A: “I like to play golf and spend time with my family.”

Q: What is it about the LakeTexomaareathatdraws people here?

A: “I think people are drawn to Lake Texoma because of its laid back atmosphere, where you can bring your family and have a good time.”

Q: Is there anything that I haven't asked about you that you would like people of Marshall County to know about you?

A: “I've lived here so long I don't think there's anything people don't know about me.”
