The Madill Band is over 150 strong for the 2019/2020 school year. Madill Band Director Kendall Hasty said there will be 151 members in the Wildcat Marching Band.

Hasty said there are many plans on the horizon for the Marching Wildcats. As normal, the band will attend the regular activities, like football and other games.

“Our plans for the year include working together and supporting the other school activities as much as possible,” Hasty said.

Hasty also noted the band will work toward earning more bling. “We are working towards earning our school’s first Band Sweepstakes award but to accomplish this we will have to compete very well at the upcoming OSSAA events this year.”

“Besides the OSSAA contests, the Band will also compete at the Pauls Valley Marching Band Championships as well as the Chickasaw Band Day Extravaganza in Tishomingo,” Hasty added.

The band is excited to participate in the Mass Band Night, Hasty noted. It is an event where the entire Madill Band Program — over 310 students — perform during the pre-game at one of Madill’s home games.
