The Hope for Marshall County food pantry is in dire need of donations. The organization helps people who need food. Typically, it is tough to get enough food for the people in need.

The number of people out of work due to COVID-19 makes it nearly impossible to keep up with the demand.

The Executive Director Gwen Wilson said they had to change tactics to meet the needs of Marshall County.

“We have to order wholesale now to have enough food and we need everyone that can to step up and donate,” said Wilson.

Sam Jordan from the KMAD radio station has stepped up to assist in getting donations.

The radio station will be hosting a telethon on Saturday, April 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Jordan will be interviewing HFMC board members and anybody else who wishes to stop by and discuss the great need for donations.

“It’s for Hope for Marshall county and our pantry to help the community.”

“It’s neighbors helping neighbors,” Wilson said. “It’s a day to RISE up and bring HOPE to the county.”

She said their motto is “together we can make a difference.”
