A Brief History

The tournament is held on East Drew Street on the ‘Hill’. This annual even held on the 4th of July weekend started with a few individuals who are all originally from Madill. Some of the founders included Wade Watson, Charles Hastings, Letha Qualls, Charlie Byars, Lonnie “Q” Qualls, Betty Menifee just to name a few.

The tradition has since continued every 4th of July weekend for the past 31 years and it includes community Bar-B-Q, hamburger/hotdogs and domino tournament. The participants in the tournament come from all around Oklahoma and Texas. Most are originally from Madill who are in town for the holiday weekend. Oil Mill Hill encourages others in Marshall County to come out next year and join in on the fun!
