Madill exploded for a season-high 18 runs and smashed Tishomingo for an 18-8 run-rule softball victory last week to snap a mini skid.
TheLadyWildcatsnotched six timely hits and cashed in 14 free passes along with five Lady Indian errors to record their biggest win of the season. Coach Shawn Runyan’s club dropped a 10-0 verdict to Sulphur early in the week as their only hit was a Chloe Miller double.
Tishomingo snagged an early 2-0 lead before Madill came storming back to take the lead with a six-run first stanza of its own. Most of the damage came with two outs as there were a pair of Lady Indian miscues sandwiched around six consecutive walks as the Lady Wildcats batted through the entire lineup.
After the visitors rallied to tie it in the top of the second after three Madill errors, the Lady Wildcat bats came to life as they sent 15 batters to the plate in their half of the inning.
Jade Soto started things innocently enough on a bloop single while Nevaeh and Aubrey Orr chipped in singles to plate runs. The biggest blow however came on a Tillie Chapa two-run triple with two outs.
Madill’s final tally came in the fourth stanza to end it early as Emersyn Thomas singled and came around to score on a ground ball from Nevaeh.
Orr was solid throughout in the pitching circle, working all four innings while yielding only one earned run on three hits.Shestruckoutsevenand walked three batters.
