Big performances continued for the Kingston Lady Redskin cross country team as they took team runner-up honors in the rugged Madill Invitational Meet last Saturday.
The Lady Redskins took second only two points behind Pauls Valley, the meet champion.
SeniorDaisyAveryclocked in with a terrific mark of 12 minutes, 46.4 seconds on the 3,200-meter course and placed third in the individual standings.FreshmanBrinlee Roberts added a Top 10 finish with a ninth-place effort of 13:25.4.
Layla Thompson and Addie Cole were just outside of medalist positioning while still taking 17th and 18th respectively. Thompson posted a time of 14:13.3 with Cole crossing the finish line in 14:16.8.
Avery Ludrick chipped in a 24th place effort of 14:33.9 with Kizzie Wood rounding out Kingston placers in 72nd with an 18:46.9.
The Lady Redskins had several junior high participants as well with Shae Franks topping the team finishes with a 35th in a time of 11:36. Ella Reno was just behind in 36th at 11:42.9 and Faith Brown took 38th while posting a time of 11:43.8.
