Texoma: August 2. Elevation normal, water 83 and clear. Striped bass good on live shad, sassy shad, shad, slabs, and topwater lures below and around the dam and flats. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs, minnows, and tube jigs around brush structure and docks. Blue catfish slow on cut bait, live shad, and shad below the dam and around main lake and river channel.

Striped Bass fishing has been good the past week in early mornings and late evenings on surface lures while surface feeding is present. Looking for large schools of fish breaking the surface of the water and approach with trolling motor staying on the edge of the feeding school to ensure the school continues to feed on the surface. Most any lure will work while surface feeding is present. Usually, by about 10 am most of the striped bass will lay dormant until late in the evening when they will start feeding again. If bait fishing for striped bass anglers should focus on shallow flats. Crappie have been in 18-20 ft. of water beneath docks and are being caught on jigs and minnows. Murray: July 31. Elevation above normal, water 91 and clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair on Alabama rig, bill baits, crankbaits, jigs, and plastics around brush structure, discharge, and docks. Report submitted by Jaylen Flynn, game warden stationed in Carter County.

Blue River: August 6. Elevation normal, water 80 and muddy. Channel catfish good on chicken liver, cut bait, and dough bait around brush structure, creek channels, and rocks. Largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass fair on jerk bait, spinnerbaits, and tube jigs around brush structure, rocks, and shorelines. Bluegill, green, and redear sunfish fair on crickets and worms around shallows and shorelines. Report submitted by Ethan Lovelace.

Arbuckle: August 5. Elevation 1/2 ft. above normal, water 84 and stained. Largemouth bass good on square billed crankbaits, Carolina-rigged lizards, and creature baits around the main lake. Smallmouth bass fair on crankbaits and shakey head worms at 3 ft. up creeks. Crappie fair on brush piles and docks in the early morning hours. Channel catfish good on baited holes. Eufaula: August 2. Elevation above normal, water 83 and murky. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait and shad around main lake, river channel, and river mouth. Crappie fair on minnows around brush structure. Report submitted by Jake Bersche, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.

Broken Bow: August 2. Elevation normal, water 88. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair on Alabama rig, crankbaits, and plastics around brush structure, points, and standing timber. Channel, blue, and flathead catfish good on punch bait and worms around channels, points, river channel, and river mouth.
