A perfect 4-0 week for the Kingston Redskins helped conclude the District 3A-5 baseball schedule and clinch a home regional berth this week.
The Redskins blasted Hugo, 13-1 and 10-0, in winning that series as well as cruising by Atoka for 12-2 and 7-4 victories.
Coach Darron Henson’s club got off to a great start against Hugo by plating four runs in the top of the first spurred by a Brock Rumer doubleandneverlookedback, tacking on seven runs in the sixth to end it early on the run rule.
Slyder Hill was in command throughout on the mound, scattering four hits in the complete game effort that included six strikeouts and two walks.

The series finale was a bit closer as it was knotted at 4-4 after four innings before Kingston claimed the lead for good in the fifth when Martin singled and came around to score on Lander Burkhalter’s sacrifice fly.
Another two tallies in the seventh put it away following hits by Rumer and Conner Waller.
Burkhalter was credited with the pitching win with two frames of scoreless onehit relief. He fanned two and walked nobody.
