The Madill girls Golf team teed off at Lake Murray on Monday, April 12, 2021. Head coach Jennifer Rushing attributed the lay of the land for the dreary outcome of the tournament.

“The course at Lake Murray is beautiful but with a lot of trees,” Rushing said. “I was hoping for a better outcome.” Belen Moreno and Abby Zang led the team with the lowest score of 118. Rushing said the scoring was up and down.

“Some scores came down which is great and others were higher than last week,” said Rushing. “Improvements are always good. We need to work on topping balls and chipping and of course cutting the number of putts when we get on the greens.”

Kellanie Lowe scored 121; Samantha Salinas and Jaelen Williams each scored 129.

“We got to play against some of the best in the area, and that is intimidating,” Rushing said. “We play the Lake Country Conference on the April 21st, said Rushing.
