Lady Redskins xc place at LCC

The Kingston Lady Redskins Cross Country team went to Madill City Lake Saturday, September 9, for theLakeCountryConference meet. Byng, Plainview, Dickson, Sulphur, Lone Grove, Madill, Kingston, and Marietta were all in attendance.

The high school girls division consisted of 47 runners. Kingston freshmen dominated thetop25asAveryLudrick placed 11th with a time of 14:15; Cassie McAlister placed 14th, running a time of 14:34; and Addi Cole came in 18th with a time of 14:57. Olivia McAlister, Ava Reno, Tabitha Arnold and Maysie Clark all placed 26th, 34th, 35th and 38th, respectively. As a team, the girls placed 4th overall. Ludrick said that she was still nervous during this meet but all she was thinking aboutwasimprovinghertime and doing better than last time, which she achieved by shaving off almost 30 seconds from her time.

Kingston freshmen Ryan Anderson and Cash Wilson represented the Redskins well. There were 74 boys running inthe5kdash.Anderson crossed the finish line in 33rd placewithatimeof19:36,and Wilson soon followed with a time of 19:42.

Kingston Junior High also competed in the LCC meet. Seventy nine runners participated in the junior high boys 3200 meter dash. Chet Nix placed 20th with a time of 13:56. Wes Eason, Ayden Esparza, and Max Reno came in 48th, 52nd, 65th, respectively.

The Kingston Middle School girls came in 5th place overall. Out of the 88 runners who participated in the girls 2400 meter dash, Rylee Davis was the first to cross the finish line for Kingston in 16th with a time of 11:00. Brinlee Roberts, Kynleigh Navarrett, Dilynn Weeks, Charli Massey, Taylor Backenstoes, Gracie Donnell, Brihanna Mills, Chloe Lilley, Leilah Burke, and Kara Griffin contributed by placing 21st, 25th, 32nd, 37th, 50th, 57th, 58th, 59th, 65th, and 86th out of 88 runners.
