Lady Redskins sweep festival 3-0

Kingston Softball hosted and debuted its 2025 festival on a brand-new turf field. Kingston, Sulphur, Calera, Atoka, Madill, Davis and Colbert teams participated in the action.

TheLadyRedskinsplayed the Sulphur Lady Bulldogs first and earned an impressive 6-0 win over the Bulldogs. Sophomore Gracie Bridgman started in the circle with senior Amberly Hallum pitching relief.

Kingston was first on the board thanks to freshman Madi Hammond sacrificing, scoring one run. Junior Ava Bain led the Lady Redskins with three hits in three at bats.

Junior Dextry Bowerman drove the middle of the lineup. Sophomore Kate Ratzlaff packed the final punch to the Lady Bulldogs by collecting twohitsandstealingmultiple bases.Sulphurhadnoanswer for the Lady Redskins.

Next up, Kingston faced the Davis Lady Wolves, ending in a 9-1 victory. Bain got the Lady Redskins on the board by scoring two runs with Bowerman and junior Destry Davis following suit.

Kingston ran wild on the bases, stealing four. Freshman Keeton Hatley sealed the big win for the Lady Redskins with an in-the-park home run to right field.

Friday, September 5, Kingston defeated the Calera Lady Bulldogs 8-4. Junior Khloe Hall earned the win for the Redskins.

Calera was first on the board with two runs scored, but Kingston soon answered, earning back those two runs. Tied 2-2, junior Bain stepped up to the plate, smashing a double, advancing to third on the throw.

Sophomore Audrey Hughes did a great job singling and scoring Bain for Kingston to take the lead 3-2. Hallum and Hall each doubled, earning two more runs. Next up, Bowerman doubled with Bain and Hughes walking, loading the bases. Davis ended the game with a massive double, clearing the bases, earning the impressive win.

The Lady Redskins have lit a fire and said they are hoping to continue their nine-game streak when they travel to Valliant and Silo in back-to-back district games.
