Kingston’s Lady Redskins won another powerlifting meet championship in dominant fashion while the Redskins claimed third in the small school division at Tishomingo last week.
The Lady Redskins had five weight division individual champions in Daisy Avery, Coby Davis, Cassie McAllister, Carli Lilley and Cari’ona Brown while far outdistancing the nearest competition.
Avery totaled 495 pounds (190 squat, 105 bench, 200 deadlift) to capture the 113-pound division as Ava Reno finished third at 460 (195 squat, 80 bench, 185 deadlift). Davis dominated the 132 category with a combination of 730 pounds (280 squat, 135 bench, 315 deadlift) as Rae-Ann Best took fourth with 575 pounds (235 squat, 105 bench, 235 deadlift).
Kingston completely controlled the 143-pound division with the top three individuals led by Cassie McAllister’s first place tally of 505 pounds (165 squat, 115 bench, 225 deadlift). Hazel Morton checked in second also at 505 (200 squat, 95 bench, 210 deadlift) with Maysie Clark in third with 380 pounds (150 squat, 75 bench, 155 deadlift).
The Lady Redskins won the 155 category with Lilley’s grand total of 755 pounds (295 squat, 145 bench, 315 deadlift) as teammate Ella Weaver ended fourth with 570 pounds (220 squat, 125 bench, 225 deadlift). Brown took top honors in the 168-division by amassing 640 pounds (245 squat, 100 bench, 295 deadlift) with Zoey Bustamante contributing a !fth place mark of 420 pounds (165 squat, 90 bench, 165 deadlift).
Kingston also recorded points in the 105 division behind Hannah Rojas’ second place tally of 325 pounds (105 squat, 65 bench, 155 deadlift) and a third by Phoenix Patton with 300 total pounds (115 squat, 50 bench, 135 deadlift). Rounding out the placers at 123 were Bailey Reagan with a third place total of 605 pounds (215 squat, 105 bench, 285 deadlift) while Addi Cole checked in at 505 pounds (175 squat, 115 bench, 215 deadlift).
Jaksyn Martin was the lone individual titleist for the boys as the Redskins claimed third place behind Holdenville and Latta. His three-lift combination was 955 pounds (350 squat, 215 bench, 390 deadlift).
Kyler Edwards took third at 132 with a total mark of 740 pounds (245 squat, 170 bench, 325 deadlift) as Kruz Harjo wrapped up sixth in the 145 division with 830 total pounds (310 squat, 200 bench, 320 deadlift). Also taking sixth place was Kelly Gray in the 168 category as his cumulative total was 1,035 pounds (375 squat, 240 bench, 420 deadlift) as well as James Trout with a combination of 1,095 pounds (415 squat, 275 bench, 405 deadlift) in the 198 division.
Rounding out the Redskins’ placers included Wyatt Lewis, who was eighth at 157 with 845 total pounds (310 squat, 190 bench, 345 deadlift). Eli Mendez checked in 10th at 181 with a threelift mark of 935 pounds (375 squat, 215 bench, 345 deadlift) and Jayden Yates was also 10th in the 198 category by posting an even 1,000 pounds (390 squat, 200 bench, 410 deadlift).
