Body

Due to COVID-19, the following protocol will be followed during the 2020-2021 Basketball season for all games played at Kingston. We are taking these precautions to help keep everyone safe, and to increase the likelihood of our Basketball teams getting to play their season. We appreciate your cooperation and thank you in advance for your efforts to help keep our staff, students, and fans as safe as possible.

Fans

•Our entire facility will be

completely sanitized before the gates are opened.

•Masks will be required for fans in attendance at Basketball games.

•Patrons are encouraged to social distance as much as possible while sitting in the stands, concession lines, restroom facilities, and other areas. We are fortunate at Kingston to have a facility that makes this much more possible.

•Families are encouraged to sit together as a group.

•Because Basketball is an indoor activity with a large gathering of people, there is an increased risk of transmission of COVID-19. Do not attend if you feel uncomfortable in this setting. Kingston Public School will Livestream every game for anyone who wishes to watch from home.

•If you have had a known exposure to COVID-19 in the past 14 days or have been asked to quarantine, or currently have a fever, cough, sore throat, headache, muscle or joint pain, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, please do not attend the games.

•Please do not enter the playing area before, during, or after the contest.

•Upon completion of the contest, please do not gather in groups and exit the facility as soon as possible.

•If you are a fan of the home team please sit on the home side only and visiting fans please sit on the visiting side only.

•Elementary and Middle school students will not be permitted to attend Basketball games without a parent/ guardian in attendance for the duration of the games.

Teams/Personnel

•All Kingston coaches, athletes, and cheerleaders will be screened before each game. Anyone who does not meet the guidelines provided by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and the CDC will not be allowed to participate in the contest. We will ask the visiting teams to follow the same protocol prior to departure.

•Upon arrival, visiting teams can enter through the back south entrances. This will keep the teams and coaches separated from the fans.

•Locker room facilities will be available for visiting teams and will be sanitized prior to team arrival and immediately after the visiting team departs.

•After the end of each contest, the teams can fist bump rather than the traditional handshake at the coaches’ discretion.

•Only essential personnel will be allowed on the sidelines

•We will have a designated area for the visiting teams to sit.

We understand circumstances can change and these procedures could be altered as needed.
