Case Coble is a senior at Madill High School and is the son of Chad and Toby Coble. He is one of the two seniors that play on the Madill High School baseball team alongside his little brother, Cash Coble, who is a freshman. He made the 2019 All-State baseball team honorable mention list, as well as the 2019 Lake Country Conference Firstteam. In 2020 he was also listed on the All-VYPE First Team.
Along with his participation in baseball, Coble is a part of the Student Council, National Honor Society, Youth group at Oakview Baptist Church, and has been the September Rotary Club Student of the Month and the Masonic Lodge Student of Today.
Coach Frank Thompson shared his admiration for Coble and said he is an inspiration.
“He has been a four-year starter for Madill High School baseball,” Thompson said. “He is a team leader as well as a leader in school. He is a fine young man who is a pleasure and an honor to coach.”
Coble’s love for baseball started when he first played at the age of four. He has played every spring, summer, and fall since. He said his favorite memories mostly come from his freshman year.
“It was from my freshman year because of the comradery of the team and coaches.”
To some, baseball may appear to be an individual sport, however, it is more about the team than the player. Having a great relationship with your coaches and teammates is very important.
Coble shared his past baseball relations and said he has met some amazing people.
“I have also made lifelong friendships throughout the years playing travel ball during the summer,” Coble noted. “Travel ball has brought me many opportunities to play on many amazing fields. Some of which include OU, OSU, Texas A&M, TCU, University of Arkansas, Atlanta, GA, and Vero Beach, FL.”
He then expressed his appreciation for his coaches and said they molded him into the man he is becoming.
“I want to thank Coach Mike Matlack for being a significant influence on me in baseball during his years here at Madill,” he said. “I also want to thank Coach Frank Thompson for the support and helping my continuing development in baseball.”
After high school, Coble has plans on attending East Central University and majoring in biology, with future goals of becoming an orthodontist.
