Nabors
Robert Lee Nabors, 69, of Madill, Okla. passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at his home in Madill. He was born on December 1, 1955, in Madill to the late J. C. Nabors and Lavina JoAnna Framness Nabors.
Robert was raised in the Powell area andgraduatedfromKingstonHighSchool in 1974. He married Sheila Ann Bullis on September 1, 1978, in Kingston, Okla. and she preceded him in death on January 20, 2022.
He retired from the Madill Public School and was currently working at ASAP in Madill. Robert enjoyed watching Nascar, westerns and OU football, doing cookouts with the family and playing cornhole. He loved playing Mario on his phone, being with his grandkids, and spending time with Madison and Mason.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Jackie Nabors and James Nabors; and sister, Marsha Dyer.
He is survived by his children, Wayne Thies and wife Melissa of Madill, Okla., Kenneth Strader of Madill, Okla., Steven Bales of Madill, Okl.; six grandkids; many great grandkids; sSisters, Anna Sliger and husband Wayne of Lebanon, Okla., Betty Moss and husband Clifton of Madill, Okla., Linda Horn and husband David of Madill, Okla.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service was held Friday, January 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Chris Webb officiated the service. Interment was at the Powell Cemetery in Powell, Okla. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
Casket Bearers were Kenny Hargis, JD Thies, Bradley Thies, Hunter Thies, Blake Thies, Brook Clifton, Cassandra Thies and Jerica Proctor.
