Babcock
Patricia Gail (Whitten) Babcock,81, went to be reunited with her husband, Danny in Heaven on May 27, 2026.
She was born August 25, 1945, in Oklahoma City, Okla. to Stanley and Dorothy Whitten. She dated and married, her high school sweetheart, Edward Daniel (Danny) Babcock on November 20, 1964. Thatbondwasunwaveringuntilhisdeath on January 22, 2022.
Patricia was a mom, bank teller and then her lifelong dream, as a teacher. She taught at Star Elementary school in Spencer, Okla. for 24 years. Her passion and love for teaching was a gift that she shared with 1000’s of students. After teaching for decades in the Oklahoma City School system, she “retired” to her lake life in Kingston, Okla. and began teaching again at Kingston Elementary for another eight years.
Her passion for teaching gave many the primary education foundation to build their careers and lives from. During her teaching years, she volunteered and took mission trips to many South American countries to teach English as a second language. She was fluent in Spanish and taught Spanish in the elementary schools as well to her students as a second language.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Dorothy Whitten, and husband Danny.
She is survived by her brothers, Jerry Whitten and wife Jeanette of Mustang Okla., Tom Whitten and wife, Holly of Colorado; children, Greg Babcock, and wife Christie of Homer, La.; Brian Babcock, and wife Rachel of Broken Arrow, Okla.; grandchildren, Ben, and wife Katie of Little Rock Ark.; Caden, and wife Alaina of Tulsa, Ellie of Broken Arrow and Kenlyn and Katelyn Babcock of Summerfield, La.; great grandchildren, Florence and Celine.
