Lee Scott Lambertsen, 68, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on March 6, 2020 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born on July 4, 1951 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to the late Audrey Forgy and Althea Lambertsen. Lee was raised in Alden, Iowa and graduated from Alden High School in 1969.

In 1969, he went to work for Northwestern Bell Telephone. Lee married Joyce Sorensen on July 15, 1972 in Alden. In 1982, he was transferred to Southwestern Bell Telephone in Madill, Okla. He retired from SWB in 1999 and began working for Schaeffer Oil in 1999 where he was still employed.

Lee enjoyed playing cribbage, fishing, gardening, wood working and watching his Sooners play. But most of all he loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and hanging out with his buddy Trixie. Lee was blessed to have the best caretaker a person could ever have; his wife Joyce, who never left his side.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Lambertsen of Madill, Okla., children; Tim Lambertsen and wife Julie of Madill, Okla., Brenda McHatton and husband Baker of Madill, Okla., Amy George and husband Aaron of Mead, Okla., 10 Grandchildren; Haley Furr, Ethan George, Jared Williams, Jake McHatton, Kelsie Lambertsen, Tate George, Abbie Lambertsen, Colby Lambertsen, Caden McHatton, and Cooper McHatton; brothers; Jeff Forgy and wife Julie of Ackley, Iowa, David Forgy and wife Kristie of Alden, Iowa, sisters; Cindy Forgy of Madill, Okla., Jane Gullett, Madill, Okla., numerous nieces and nephews.

Lee was preceded in death by his grandparents; Lillian & Anton Lambertsen, mother; Althea Forgy and stepfather; Audrey Forgy.

Services were at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Okla. Mike Conn officiated the services. Music was arranged by Jim Bob Laird. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
