Juventino Medina Diaz, 66, of Madill, Okla. passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at his home in Madill. He was born on January 25, 1955, to the late Eligio Diaz and Guadalupe Medina Diaz in Rayon San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
Juventino was raised in Mexico and moved to the United States in 1975. Before moving to Madill, he lived in Clinton and Duncan, Okla. and would drive two hours to work at Oklahoma Steel and Wire on his motorcycle. He retired in 2019 after working 33 years at Oklahoma Steel and Wire.
Juventino married Evangelina Puente on November 16, 1977 in Rayon San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He was affiliated with the Catholic faith, and he enjoyed ranching, cattle work, and loved welding. His greatest joy was his family and grandkids, loved music and dancing.
He was survived by his wife Evangelina Diaz of Madill, Okla., children; Tino Diaz and wife Brittany of Madill, Okla., Renee Diaz and wife Cherry of Madill, Okla., Esteban Diaz and wife Karina of Madill, Okla., Juana Diaz Huerta and husband Felipe of Madill, Okla., Guadalupe Barrientos and husband Manuel of Madill, Okla., Jessica Diaz of Madill, Okla., grandchildren; Marisela Calixto, Juan Calixto, Anabella Diaz, Lexi Diaz, Jaxon Diaz, Andy Diaz, Xavier Diaz, Vivianne Diaz, Miranda Barrientos, Itzel Barrientos, Manuel Jr. Barrientos, Alexander Barrientos, Melanie González, Evan Cook and Mario Diaz, sister, Vicenta Diaz of Mexico, brothers; Juan Diaz and wife Asuncion of Marietta, Okla., Eligio Diaz of Mexico, Nestor Diaz of Madill, Okla., Pedro Diaz of Madill, Okla., Felipe Diaz and wife Inez of Mead, Okla., and Gabriel Diaz and wife Juanita of Houston, Texas.
Juventino was preceded in death by parents and one son, Mario Diaz
Visitation was Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass was Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the New Holy Cross Catholic Church in Madill, Okla. Officiated by Father Oby Zunmas. Interment was at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
