Joby Bishop, 33, passed away on November 13, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. To know Joby was to love him—he had a way of making everyone feel special. He was kind, generous, confident, and always full of life. Whether he was wrestling in high school, competing in national skeet shooting, serving in the military or building his career, Joby excelled at everything he did. His drive, determination, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Joby had an unforgettable smile and a mischievous smirk that could light up any room. He was the life of every gathering, always bringing positivity, laughter, and an infectious energy. He truly valued his friends—whether they were childhood companions, wrestling teammates, military brothersorcolleaguesatMHCKenworth—andlovedthem like family. Above all, Joby loved his life, his country, and his family. He had a deep and enduring love for his wife, Lindsey, who was his rock and partner in every sense. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, joy, love, and shared dreams.
Joby’s spirit and the lessons he taught us will live on. His family and friends will forever carry his memory in their hearts, inspired to live with the same passion, perseverance, kindness, and generosity that Joby shared with the world.
Joby is survived by his loving wife, Lindsey Ann Bishop, of Madill, Okla.; parents, Joey and Nanette Bishop of Kingston, Okla.; brother, Braeden Bishop of Ardmore, Okla.; grandparents, Logan and Mary Lou Beard of Madill, Okla., and Joe Frank and Patsy Bishop of Bella Vista, Ark.; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Memorial Service will be Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Madill, Okla. Joey Bishop, Gary Moore, Doug Crowson, Johnny Raper, Coach Jerry Best, Charlie Anderson, Rodney Jackson, Andrew Barnes and Cody Brown will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
