James Ray Shoopman, 84, of Kingston, Okla., passed from this life and went on to live at his Heavenly home on February 24, 2025.
James was born on May 5, 1940, in Lawton,Okla.,toAndrewJacksonShoopman and Anna Laura Shoopman (Locke). JamesattendedFaxonElementarySchool in Faxon, Okla., and then attended and graduated from Duncan High School in Duncan, Okla.
James married the love of his life, Brenda Kay Shoopman on December 28, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was an electrician in the IBEW Local Union, 1141 OKC since 1967 and retired in 2002. James, his wife Kay and son, Calvin owned the Eagle OHD Company in Kingston, Okla. from 2001-2013.
James was of the Baptist faith, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, remodeling homes with his wife and spending time with his family.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Shoopman and Anna Laura Shoopman; son, Calvin Ray Shoopman; brothers, Jackie T. Shoopman and William Henry Shoopman.
James is survived by his loving wife of the home, Kay Shoopman of Kingston, Okla.; daughter, Reta January and spouse Doug of Kingston, Okla., daughter, Cathryn Parnell of Kingston, Okla.; 10 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren, one great-great grandchild; nephew, Bruce McNeill of Begrade, Mont.
