James Alvis Aitken, 75, of Madill, Okla. passed away on January 25, 2020 at the Family Care Center in Kingston. He was born on April 30, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late John Albert Aitken and Beatrice Wilkenson Aitken.

James was rased in Fort Worth and graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1963. He received a football scholarship from East Texas State University, Commerce, Texas. James was self-employed in constrcution before working as Executive Vice President of Design and Development of Spaghetti Warehouse from 1988 to 1994. He also opened a color tile and carpet store in Sherman, Texas beforemoving to Madill in 1997. James moved to Houston, Texas and worked in construction before moving back to Madill where he coowned and operated Aitken and Moore Construction. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta, Okla. James was also a memeber of the Lions Club and Ducks Unlimited. He was an avid hunter, superb musician and enjoyed rideing cutting horses. He is surved by his wife, Donna Aitken of Madill, Okla., his sons; Travis and Amy Aitken from Fort Worth, and Brian and Lori Aitken of Hurst, Texas; his nephew, Jeff Aitken of Fort Lauderdale, Fla, and grandchildren, Andrew, Ben and Jonah. James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jonny Aitken.

Visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2020 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Okla. Neil O’Donnell, Robert Cupps and Travis Aitken will officiate the service. Interment will be the Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com. Casket Bearers will be Kevin Eppler, Gary Craig, Johnny Caster, Quinton Moore, Pat Adams, and Brian Aitken

Honorary bearers will be Malcom Wetsel, Ray Morse, Teddy Johnson, Dave Horger, Frank Underwood, and Ron Whisenant
