Jack Miller, 89 and a beloved father, grandfather, greatgrandfather and friend, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 3, 2024, just 17 days shy of his 90th birthday.

Jack was born on November 20, 1934, in Madill, Okla. to Volney and Eithel Miller. A calm, kind, and genuine man, he was admired for his quiet strength, his sharp wit and his boundless generosity. Jack was a devoted father to his three children, daughterAngieHartingandhusbandCliff, daughterMelindaMiller;son,KevinMiller and wife Kelley and a proud grandfather to his eight grandchildren; Brandon and wife Dana, Ashley and husband Geoff, Lindsey, Paige, Kylan, Kohl, Kessley and Kasen “Jack”. He was equally adored by his great grandchildren, Adelynn, Isabella, Luke and Liam, and shared a special bond with his loyal dog, Willow.

Jack had a natural gift for mechanics and could fix anything. Known for his ingenuity and his helpful spirit, he often spent weekends repairing A/C units, plumbing, or anything else neighbors, family and friends needed—with no thought of payment. For 45 years, Jack worked as a master plumber and pipefitter for Wattie Wolfe Mechanical Contracting Company, where his skill and dedication left a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike.

Jack is predeceased in death by his parents, Volney and Eithel; uncle Chester; brothers, Gene Ray Miller and Dan Davis.

He is survived by his children; grandchildren; great grandchildren and brothers, Clifford Davis and David Davis who, along with family and friends, will carry forward his legacy of kindness, hard work and humor.

A funeral service to honor Jack’s life was held on Friday, November 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Barnes and Friederich Funeral Home on S. Douglas Blvd., in Midwest City, Okla. Flowers may be sent to 1820 S. Douglas Blvd., MWC, OK 73130. Interment was at Woodberry Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla.

Jack’s presence, generosity, and wisdom will be dearly missed, and he will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
