Horace H. Sprouse 81, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026.Horacewasalovinghusband,fatherandgrandfather who will be dearly missed. He was born in Madill, Okla. on November 24, 1944, to William and Ruth Sprouse.
Horace attended Madill Public Schools. He joined the military and then met his wife Teresa and married on April 16, 1968 they were wed at Kirtland Air Force Base and were married for 49 years.
Horace served in the United States Air Force and retired from service after 20 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a true patriot. Horace then continued his service to the country by working 20 years at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
“You have left us broken-hearted, we thank you for being such an honorable man – dedicated to your country and your family, but we know you are together with Mom again… right where you wanted to be…” He was preceded in death by his parents and by the love of his life - his loving wife Teresa Sprouse.
Horace is survived by his daughters, Cheryl L. Sprouse andLoriM.Sprouse;brother,DorisSprouseofUnionTown, Penn.; grandchildren, William, Corey, Amber and Aidan.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Interment will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Okla. Services are under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
Casket Bearers will be the U.S. Air Force.
