Frank Underwood

The Lord’s faithful servant, Frank Underwood, 83, went to his Heavenly home on November 13, 2024, in Durant, Okla. He was born on October 3, 1941, in Pauls Valley, Okla. to the late Harold Lawson Underwood and Edith Viola Wilburn Underwood.

Frank served in the United States Army for six years as a drill sergeant. Over the years, he owned and operated Underwood Datsun dealership in Ardmore, Okla., worked for the Chickasaw Nation in Thackerville, Okla. and the Department of Commerce in Ada, Okla.

He married Janice Lee Beene on August 10, 1985, in Ardmore, Okla. They had a wonderful life together for 39 years. After retirement in 1999, he started volunteer work for the First Baptist Church of Madill where he was a faithful member. He volunteered to work for the Bread of Life, the clothing house and other needed places within the church. He loved his church family and served wherever he was needed.

Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was very special to his extended family and friends. We love you, Frank, and you will be truly missed.

Frank was preceded in death by two stepsons, Danny Harrison and Eddie Harrison Frank is survived by his wife, Janice Underwood of Kingston, Okla.; son, Tim Underwood and wife Jennie of Sugarland, Texas; daughter, Trae Underwood Turner of Nellysford, Va.; granddaughter, Lexi Underwood of Sugarland, Texas; brother, Don Ricky Underwood and wife Brenda of Broken Arrow, Okla.

Memorial service will be Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Brad Collins and Randy Kendrix will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
