Beverly Jean White, 90, of Kingston, Okla., passed away on July 14, 2022, at the Alliance Hospital in Durant, Okla. She was born on October 24, 1931, in Arkansas City, Kan. to the late Reverend Herman Everett Arnett Sr. and Hazel Irene Peebles Arnett.
Beverly Jean was raised in Eureka and Arkansas City, Kan. before moving to Cushing, Okla. where she graduated high school. She married Eldon Wayne White on October 31, 1949, in Arkansas City, Kansas and he preceded her in death on November 24, 2015. Beverly Jean lived in Oklahoma City, Okla. before moving to Kingston, Okla. in 1971, where she lived the remainder of her life.
Beverly Jean worked at Fran Drummond Day Care Center for several years. She then worked for 20 years as church secretary and the pianist/organist of the First Baptist Church in Kingston, from which she retired. She was the member of the First Baptist Church in Kingston, Okla. (1971-2005), Lakeview Baptist Church, Kingston, Okla. (2005-death), and Red Hats Society. Beverly Jean enjoyed playing the piano, cards, crocheting, doing ceramics, working puzzles, and cooking. Her greatest love was her family.
Beverly Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Michael Wayne White, and three brothers, Herman (Sonny), J. D. and Leonard Arnett.
Beverly Jean is survived by her children, Deborah Jean Carper of Kingston, Okla., Ricky Lynn White and wife Ginger of Newalla, Okla.; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lehr and husband Donnie, Adam Carper and wife Heather, Melanie Denton and husband Lee, Crystal Birchfield and husband Steven, Cory White and wife Ashlea, and Tiffani Hanks and husband Chuck; 17 great-grandchildren, Paul Henry, Ricky Lehr, John Lehr, Jordan Lehr, Abby Lehr, Cherisse Lehr, Nathan Lehr, Allicia Carper, Josephine Carper, Kenzlee Cooper, Maci Denton, Connor Denton, Tannon Moreno, Liam Birchfield, Ayva Birchfield, Rylan Birchfield, Truman White, Evelyn White, Emma Hanks, Ben Hanks, Dalton Hanks, Jessi Onstott, Julianne Hanks, Jennifer Gaskill; and four great-great grandchildren, Will Henry, D.J. Henry, Freya Lehr and Marcus Moreno.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be Friday, July 22, 2022, at 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Kingston, Okla. Reverend Donnie Lehr will officiate the service. Music will be arranged by Mary Goldsmith and Hope Uhlenhake.
Interment will be at the Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Okla. at 3:00 p.m. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
